RE:RE:RE:RE:NEW MANAGEMENT
Looking at the financial statements and MD&A, Candelaria went into playing dead mode hiding from reality. I do not buy it is a problem with the market, but rather what the company is offering the market something akin to roadkill rather than pushing a very possitive storey. Following the crash in 2008, the companies rebounded by fighting to show the world they had something to show worth investing in. Hiding durring a downturn simply gives oportunity for highly discounted takeover as the stockprice falls and there is nothing to keep the market interested.
This is why I am concerned with Altaley. Part-time C-suite occupants who are playing active managerial roles does not build my confidence. When a good company with great projects is facing opperational problems and the management team is populated by people who are not there 20% of the time, it is time to rethink what the company's future prossibilities are.
I think opperations needs a fresh shot of confident management, someone who has been successful recently and will take a FULL TIME active role.
