Fly on the Wall (Part One): "Beam me down, Mr. Scott"

Fly on the Wall (Part One): "Beam me down, Mr. Scott"Ian: Scott, I understand your frustration with the current state of Acerus. But I need you to stay on the board. Your experience and expertise are invaluable to us.

Scott: Ian, I appreciate your confidence in me, but I can't stay on the board of a company that is failing. The stock market performance has been terrible, and our product sales are poor. And that idiotic acquisition of Serenity was the icing on the cake.

Ian: I agree that we've made some mistakes, but we can turn things around. We just need to make some tough decisions, like... bringing in a new CEO.

Scott: I think that's long overdue. But it's not just about Edward. The entire company needs to be restructured.

Ian: I understand your concerns, Scott. But I believe that with your help, we can make the necessary changes to get Acerus back on track. Will you at least consider staying on the board and helping us make a difference?

Scott: (pauses) Ian, I appreciate your efforts to try and persuade me to stay. But I'm afraid my mind is made up. I'm sorry, but I need to submit my resignation.

Ian: (emotionally) Scott, please don't do this. We need you on the board.

Scott: I'm sorry, Ian. But I can't stay with a company that is struggling so much. I wish Acerus all the best, but I need to move on.

Ian: (sighs) I understand. Thank you for your service, Scott. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
