Sphalerite in the 463 ZoneNews release, 15 December, of completion of drill hole 22-505 said;
"The 463 Zone is a significant departure in vein style/geometry from one suggested by earlier drill intersections in the vicinity. The “463” intercept is thicker than any other to date and includes the “typical” high-grade vuggy-type veins with abundant VG with 5%-7% accessory boulangerite and sphalerite, as well as brecciated veining with occasional specks of VG with minor boulangerite and sphalerite."
The boulangerite is associated with gold and shown in a photo of a core from hole 18-39.

The sphalerite, also an indicator associated with gold, is much more interesting than the boulangerite for a few reasons. They are associated with large VMS deposits, polymetallic deposits, and deposits with co-credits.
One of the two main places they occur is in volcanogenic massive sulfide ore deposits (VMS ore deposits).
"As a class, they represent a significant source of the world's copper, zinc,
lead,
gold and
silver ores, with
cobalt,
tin,
barium,
sulfur,
selenium,
manganese,
cadmium,
indium,
bismuth,
tellurium,
gallium and
germanium as co- or by-products," Wikipedia,

Hole 22-463 hitting an very thick intersection of 12.5 g/t over 39.6 metres of high grade gold is consistent with the presence of sphalerite that is associated with massive VMS ore bodies.

Prospectors gold prospecting on Youtube. At end of video note sample they find containing sphalerite that they do not identify in the video but do identify it in the title of the video. All be it smaller; note that it is the same as in the preceding sample picture.
More: Beyond the sphalerite, the brecciated zones, iron carbonate zones, and pyrite are significant to findings of wide mineralized zones. Tim discusses this in his last "Rocks and Stocks" interview with Allan 11 days ago. At the 13.30 mark he indicated brecciated rocks give wider zones and at 18.50 discusses hole 505 intersecting 100 meters of variable veining all the way down to 159 meters the same as a Fosterville sample pictured laid over a Moosehead drill sample. At 21:10 Tim discusses the iron carbonate. At 22.12 Tim indicates they will sample 300 meters of the 505 core. At 22.56 Tim discusses the disseminated pyrite that is associated with gold.
