All good and looking forward to more and higher quarterly Variable Dividends from CVE.

But I disagree with "“A permanent dividend increase can be much more welcomed, because it means you really have a lot of confidence in your future. When you do a special dividend, it means you’re not as confident,"

True for steady-eddie industries like utilities and pipeline and banks, but not true for commodity industries like TOU where you are largely price takers not price makers and thus cash flow is highly variable. There I think it is much more reaonable and sustainable.
