RE:RE:Court stops (at least temporarily) RovinaI live in Romania. Unfortunately this is game over for Euro Sun Mining. The court suspended the Environmental Permit on 8th of December (this means that the judge admitted that there could be some illegalities) and it will take about 1 year to judge this at Tribunalul Cluj and even if they succeed another year at Court of Appeal. So the permits are delayed at least 2 years... if they will win the trial. If they will lose ESM is back almost to square 1, and it will mean bancruptcy for sure. I don't know how the company can survive. The NGOs will take into court every successful decision ESM could receive like PUZ, EIA, construction permit, etc, etc. The pure truth is that with the current laws it's impossible for a private company to build a mine in Romania. If one or a few people don't want to sell the land you cannot do anything, you cannot expropriate. And read the papers they submitted to Hunedoara Agency, 70% of the lands are owned by individuals.
Environmenal Permit Submission They always refused to answer a simple question. What happens if ONE person don't want to sell the land? The answer is simple, you cannot do anything today, the project is blocked and that is it.
ESM was only a vehicle for some people to earn big paychecks, they KNEW that it's impossible to build a mine. Scott Moore resigned 10 days before the court decision.
