shenty46 wrote: However I think as Tilray has lots of money invested in Hexo, they might have a plan to overcome this, but acquiring a Canadian company like Hexo  I think was not a good idea, when almost all the Canadian companies are in massive losses, it would have been better to acquire US based companies like Canopy did, and canopy revenue may touch near 2 billion when all companies come under canopy USA. However the results of all cannabis companies are on verge of major turnaround in the future.

Tilray has a $4 Billion Annual Sales objective set forth by the CEO.  Tilray is a Top Tier 1 company in the sector (1 of 5 such companies).  HEXO Corp is another one of those 5.

HEXO year end gross sales exceeded 1/4 billion (net of apx $190 Million) so for Tilray to buy out HEXO Corp it would move the company towards that 4 Billion annual target much quicker.

Until the US de-schedules Cannabis the Canadian LPs are likely better off focusing on Countries where MJ is legal and just prepare for US Legalization without making too many assumptions.  Many expected Biden to do SOMETHING when he took office but he has failed to deliver.  While I am 100% sure the US will eventually legalize I would tend to support any CEO who is moving their businesses forward without taking near term progress in the US for granted
