I have no idea what you are posting. That said it is not net house positions so has nothing to do with shorts. What you are posting is sales by house. So if I deal with RBC and sell 100,000 shares of a stock and my neighbor also deals with RBC and sells 10,000 shares of a stock the net volume is -90,000 share which has absolutely nothing to do with the house position or shorts.
Net volume is used as a technical indicator and is simply calcutlated by uptick vs dountick over time. Just because a house sells more of a stock than they buy has nothing to do with shorting! It appears you are confusing net volume as being the same as a net position which it is not!
