Waiting happens to be my personal weak suit, but given the alternatives that you outlined..........I'd choose to wait. I very much like the idea of forgoing a dividend hike if meant that another 1 million shares through the NCIB could be pryed from some reluctant shareholders at a little higher share price. And until you pointed out the May 2022 date of the consolidation of the Deerfoot ownership I hadn't considered how I'm going to feel in the new atmosphere at the 2023 AGM where we will finally own 100% of the facility. Sounds like grounds for a celebrations! Maybe the first celebration in a number of following ones.
GA, Gamehosters Anonymous.
We all benefit from a little time, patience and encouragement when holding this (temporarily) sleepy, forgotten stock. The foundation of a big rally is slowly being built.
I've tucked away a few bucks to buy 100 shares from Kasking at $20. Maybe I can get him to sign the trade ticket before it's framed!!
I really believe that doubling the dividend is the last step of this post-covid shareholder value-building journey for GH.
If market participants don't want to pay $12 a share for the business, then let the business buy its own shares until the sellers are exhausted.
When buying is completed, you kick the market in the rear with a random news release.
I'd say after the market closes, 4pm MST on a lazy Friday in late spring, issue a trading halt pending news, then GH announces that they are doubling the dividend.
Nobody will find out about it until the following Wednesday, and by that time, the share price will be $12.50 and Kasking will be on the hi limit slots without a care in the world.
The crowds will gather... In the casino, not at the institutional trading desks.
And GH will be on its way to being noticed again.
Those of us here today, we will remember these times, stuck at $8 and wonder why we didn't buy more.
