3 main reasons:

Copper is strongly going up with the reopening of China combined with the lack of new supply
Eva has finally stopped their selling. This was putting a huge pression on the stock
Finally, the stock was and still is bargain with copper at the price. Hoping management will not mess again.

Regarding potential takeover. It's really unlikely. Mitsubishi will never accept any offers. Don't forget they own 25% of stock, the entire debt and they are buying 100% of the production.
