RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Consequences of a "no" vote: from IR
"Voting "no" is like being 3 runs down in the ninth, with the last of the order on deck, 2 out, nobody on, 0 and 2, with the batter swinging for the fence. Lot of huffing and grunting, but even if it goes over the fence, you're still two runs down and 2 out and not a lot of hope coming to the plate."
Yes , this season is over & now we have to rebuild the team.We have gone through several managers in the last decade & now many of our players are much older & the young ones lack the experience & guidance.
We have more or less given away the farm to allow us to rebuild this team from the ground up in order to finally get us to the BIG SHOW.
Again, the rebuilding effort?yes vote will/has cost us dearly in the short team but we feel with the addition of many new players, scouts, managers etc etc that we will make the playoffs this Season/Oct & make it to the world series(our goal) within the next 2-3 years allowing all of us too more than recoup our substantial past & current investments in this Team.
Our other options/no vote were limited to closing the doors or taking it really slow & going back to a 5-10 year rebuilding program. This was not acceptable to the majority of our players & investors.
We will remain open to other offers of substance prior to the deadline otherwise its full steam ahead with a Yes vote
