Increasing monthly plan pricing

Plan pricing increases announced almost double plan costs. Do you think this the right move going into an economic downturn? I myself will now go from Shopify plan to basic. I think many customers will downgrade and tgst will actually hurt thei bottom line more than increase. A small increase would have been alright but what they've done is significant
