Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

RE:RE:RE:RE:EIA 500,000 barrel buildThe thing that I can never understand is, If you are long on BTE why care so much about the day to day. If bte is so bad and other stocks are so good, simply sell Bte and buy the others.

I had a large cash position in October when that depressing Q3 bomb got dropped . Against my better judgement I decided "if you can't beat em , join em" so I bought a position in Shopify which has made me nearly a double . I am out of it now and still hold a small amount of shares here (from 2 years ago) but I no longer hold out any hope that BTE will do anything for another year or 2 which will give ton's of runway to re-establish a full position IF Greager ever gets his head into the game . I feel better when my money is actually "working" for me rather than holding a dead asset .

I'll be watching for the year end report but I expect another lathargic Q since BTE can't seem to ever produce what they promise .
