A Maze of Good NewsOnly one with a very good knowledge of Nextleaf could get excited with the bunch of good news which was dropped on us this morning with the release of the results up to end of September 2022. We are finally a promising company involved in many things on several markets and planning to continue doing the same at a distressed share price and, oh yes, turning some measure of gross profit. Hum, say that again.
This was the opportunity for Paul to get us excited about 2023. More of the same was basically his response. We are talking here about promotion, about telling the market a solid and compelling story. What is the "elevator pitch", how can I summarize Nextleaf great story in 15 seconds? Why exactly would we suddenly start to grow "exponentially"?
The headline here should have been about turning a first sizeable gross profit, thanks to a formidable competitive advantage. And that this profit is growing strongly as we speak. Tic, toc, rush to buy the stock!
So why on earth waiting so long to tell us about it, last day of the month, four months after the fact? So why did Nextleaf have to renegotiate funding on such bad terms? Where are institutional and insider buyers? These are not signs profits are growing "exponentially" for the last four months. Market is in wait-and-see mode. Personally, I will continue buying while expecting a jump in share price when next quarter results will be released. To me, a sure bet. But it's like pulling teeth, good grief.
