I think eco-terrorists crave the media coverage like a cockroach craves feces.

Depriving them off the coverage that they do desperately crave actually might make them move on to other targets. After all, the longer this pipeline is delayed, then the longer the world will simply fall back on coal due to supply shortages of natural gas in other parts of the world.
