The news this morning was a shady at best type of after the fact response. A very reactor type response versus a proactive approach that could have been used.. Stinky at best,,, LOWIQJOE-ish at worst... Better hope it holds onto the green for today.. US job numbers were great this morning which was a surprise for sure.. I will ask around here locally to get a sense of any Np progress.. I do believe that as long as BB is in play the local 1st nations won't be moving forward on Np.. They won't deal with people they don't trust,,, and they don't trust BB at ALL.
So, what would you have said in your response?
It's NOT the WHAT I would have said Jc, It's the when and how. I made some calls yesterday to the company and to be honest they seemed taken back by the unexpected news. So for TKO to come out with news today after the fact saying negotiations were underway smells to me.. The better practice would have been to have beaten the sellers to the punch and put this out as a positive story rather than hearing from the Japanese who are saying --- environmental issues, declining grades, yada yada yada.. ..VERY lucky the jobs report came out as it did or today would have been way different.. Gold taking it on the chin and copper looking better,, dis not see those job numbers coming... SURPRISE
Again. Negotiations like this usually happen with agreed upon confidentiality until a simultaneous announcement. It looks to me like Solitiz broke that. That is why TKO did not say something first. They would have invited a lawsuit. I think its also why you cannot find anything about it anywhere on Solitz website or anywhere else. The Solitz director stepped in it and he probably got contacted by his legal team saying that he was in hot water.
I am reading between the lines here, but I am confident that this is what heppened.
