RE:RE:RE:RE:Feb. 5/23 article in Business section of Globe & MailSheesh Blue it's all about data harvesting, but what is really sad is that Cheung never mentions data harvesting in his PR's. If the people who own this stock don't even know about data harvesting, and data harvesting is the key reason you would get eg. IronCap now, then 01 has committed a real PR crime imo by not promoting the issue. 01 is not imo going to sell much imo until data harvesting becomes a household name. Cheung may say re making the public/corps more aware of the dangers of data harvesting "Well, that's not up to me" but hey 01 if you want to make any money, then well, actually it may be.
I hope 01 either fires their whole PR department because they are incompetent (based on results/sales if anything), or hires actually hires one.
Data Harvesting/Later Decryption in a nutshell: "Criminal organizations globally are embarking upon mass data harvesting and breach schemes today on the basis that even though the information cannot be immediately decrypted, at some point in the future, access to quantum compute power will unlock these information resources."
All imo.
A little reading:
https://semiengineering.com/post-quantum-and-pre-quantum-security-issues-grow/
https://www.securityweek.com/mitigating-threats-encryption-quantum-and-bad-random/ - note this article mentions 'Bad Actors' also if Cheung mentioning it twice in the PR made you cringe - the term is used in the business but technically I believe it is actually "Cyber Threat Actor" or CTA.
