Each has different levels of reporting requirements.
The highest level, right below being listed on the Nasdaq proper, is the OTCQX, also known as Nasdaq Best Markets.
The two levels below that are the OTCQB, followed by the OTC Pink.
The OTC Pink, also known as the pink sheets, is so-named because originally, buy and sell orders were written on pink pieces of paper.
This is the market for the highest-risk stocks in the United States.
Companies trading on the pink sheets aren't required to file financials .
