An attractive investment Has anyone else noticed the company is trading much lower than its historical price to book value? Over the last 5 years, book value per share has grown to $21.25 compared to $9.2 over 5 years ago. This compares to a current share price of $ 17.70 today versus $11.63 in the relative time period. In other words, it was trading at a price to book value of $11.63/$9.2 =~ 1.26 on Feb 8 2018 vs today at $17.7/$21.25 =~ 0.83
This is a significant difference which, in my opinion, represents a compelling investment opportunity. Not to mention, the company has been paying a dividend at the same time book value has more than doubled!
There is a lot of hidden assets on the balance sheet that will continue to reward shareholders. I also have familiarity with the assets that they own and the accounting book value does not due it justice.
A true hidden gem!
