RE:Barrick and Pasqua Lama

RE:Barrick and Pasqua Lamasorry, you are completly wrong ... this was a time the POG was down sharply and barrick wrote-down some assets at its balance sheet ...   NON-CASH ... and this 8 billion was a company- wide number ..

"Barrick recorded an US$8.7-billion impairment charge in the second quarter, mainly due to lower metal prices.

The charge includes $5.1 billion for the Pascua-Lama project, $2.3 billion for goodwill impairments and $1.3 billion for other impairment charges."

Soto Norte at Aris books:
Reportable segment assets as at September 30, 2022 -  $ 102,969 000 (from the Q3 2022 report)
...so the maximum write-down would be appr. 100 million USD .. but the last word is not spoken here and a possible developement is 5-10 years away .. but i strongly hope  ARIS will not pay another 300 million USD for a 50% share in Soto Norte without a clear path to developement in the hands...     we will see
