Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

RE:RE:Energy industry faces death by a thousand cuts.The oil industry will not die anytime soon.Dumb governments might add taxes and regulations but this will only curb investment. 
 EV are maybe 3% of the market, so 97% are ICE and will take 10 years to get them off the road.
 If the government overally punishes O and G companies, prices will then rise which leads to inflation. Liberal governments are starting to understand this.
 Governments also know that if a greater % of vehicles did switch they would have to tax electricity like they tax gas.
 We are so far away from making a reasonable sized switch to EV its not even funny. At peak times now we do not have enough electricty, grid is not ready, charging stations, batteries,  blah, blah...
 Lastly, every day the world grows by 200,000 people........EVERY  DAY
