RE:Impact of tax creditsOne their website Everwind is looking to offshore wind in the future for Nova Scotia.. One million tonnes/year ammonia production at the start and maybe up to 10 million later on. ~1mmtpa of green ammonia (initial phases); upside for >10mmtpa with 20GW+ of offshore wind available So what's left for Northland, other than to build the windfarms. Not knowing the world's furture demand for ammonia, maybe there's room for everyone.
The west coast, same thing there. Pattern Energy(Canada Pesnion Plan Investments owns)/First Nations/ City of Prince Rupert have ambitious plans. What's then left for Northland, except to build large windfarms.
Opportunities open up whether Northland goes into ammonia production or stays with windfarm development. The cost to build many billions, but could also get long-term top prices for the electricity.
I think they could still get at a 30% tax credit to build the windfarms. If can use the credits to offset taxes from world wide operations, their free cash flow (FCF) will improve.
Interesting times.
