Nano One Materials Corp T.NANO

Alternate Symbol(s):  NNOMF

Nano One Materials Corp. is a clean technology company with a patented, scalable and low-carbon intensity industrial process for the low-cost production of high-performance lithium-ion battery cathode materials. It specializes in the production of low-cost, high-performance cathode active materials for lithium-ion batteries. Its technology is applicable to electric vehicles, energy storage, and consumer electronics, reducing costs and carbon intensity while improving environmental impact. Its patented One-Pot process is engineered to make cathode materials directly from non-sulfate forms of battery metals. Its Metal to Cathode Active Material (M2CAM) Technology enables sulfate-free metal powder inputs which eliminates 100% of wasteful sodium sulfate by-products while simplifying manufacturing. The One-Pot process simplifies production and enables its M2CAM technology. Its simplified One-Pot process enables cathodes to form simultaneously with their protective coating at the nano level.

Sept. '22 US Presidential Directive bans Ford/CATL agreement

Sept. '22 US Presidential Directive bans Ford/CATL agreement
First-Ever Presidential Directive Defining Additional National Security Factors for CFIUS to Consider in Evaluating Transactions:
* A given transaction’s effect on the resilience of critical U.S. supply chains that may have national security implications, including those outside of the defense industrial base. Foreign investment that shifts ownership, rights, or control to a foreign person in certain manufacturing capabilities, services, critical mineral resources, or technologies that are fundamental to national security may make the United States vulnerable to future supply disruptions of critical goods and services. The Order states that the Committee shall consider, as appropriate, a covered transaction’s effect on supply chain resilience and security, both within and outside of the defense industrial base. These considerations include the degree of diversification through alternative suppliers across the supply chain, including suppliers located in allied or partner countries; supply relationships with the U.S. government; and the concentration of ownership or control by the foreign person in a given supply chain." Ford has only said they own the building & Ford workers will do the cell assembly. With CATL supplying the cells & metals into the cathodes, it is a potentially disruptive, qualifying threat. Yes, this 1st ever Directive of September 15, 2022, would actually ban the Ford / CATL agreement. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/09/15/fact-sheet-president-biden-signs-executive-order-to-ensure-robust-reviews-of-evolving-national-security-risks-by-the-committee-on-foreign-investment-in-the-united-states/
