AutoNation Having a Good Day

Autonation posted some blowout profits for their 4th quarter, this morning. Their stock is currently up 9%. I am quite surprised these auto dealer consolidators are trading at such low valuations. Do investors really need quarterly proof to confirm that these companies, ACQ included, can grow and grow for many decades without interruption. Is every investor truly investing for only the next 30 days. It is quite a mystery to me.
