Keates West drillingI plotted up most of the Keates West holes on the weekend.
Most of NFG's drilling to date at Keates West has been towards the SE (the Appleton fault) or towards the NW (away from the Appleton fault). As bad luck would have it the vein set is oriented NW-SE and is dipping towards the S-SW. Most of the early holes either overshot or undershot the veins. Many picked up bits and pieces of the surrounding refractory halos. Many found nothing. The discovery hole 22-960 came in from the NW and hit the vein set at an oblique angle. The stated mineralization is far from true width! This is clearly visible in the Leapfrog cross section schematic.
Now that NFG geologists know the orientation of the vein set they have to reposition the drills to the SW and drill towards the NE. They should have a very high success rate in their next Keates West press release. To date, their has been no drilling towards the NE from below, to the left of or to the right of 22-960.
Hole 22-960 hints that all of this could be big in both tonnage and grade.
On the down side the world has slipped into a recession and no one gives a **** about mining stocks during a recession. NFG is in the dumps with the group.
