Cantex Mine Development Corp V.CD

Alternate Symbol(s):  CTXDF

Cantex Mine Development Corp. is an exploration stage company. Its principal business activity is the exploration and development of mineral properties for commercial mineral deposits, and it is considered to be at the exploration stage. It is focused on its 100% owned 20,000-hectare (ha) North Rackla Project located about 150 kilometers (km) northeast of the town of Mayo in the Yukon Territory, Canada where high-grade massive sulphide mineralization has been discovered. Over 60,000 meters of drilling has defined high grade silver-lead-zinc-germanium mineralization over 2.3 km of strike length and 700 meters depth. It has a 100% interest in four mineral properties in Nevada. It has two projects in Yemen: Al Hariqah (Gold) and Al Masna (Nickel, Copper, Cobalt). The Al Hariqah is a near-surface gold deposit located about 130 km northwest of Sana’a, Yemen. The Al Masna’a nickel, copper, cobalt project is located in the Saadah region some 205 km north-northwest of the capital city, Sana’a.

CD started the Yukon exploration  in 2016 hoping to piggy-back on the initial successes of Atac in discovering gold. Instead of gold,  Chuck found zinc and lead. The subsequent results proved disappointing. Now, CD is pivoting to Germanium - a by-product of Zinc.

Faro Mine was once the largest open-pit zinc and lead mine in Yukon and in the world. Yukon Zinc Mine is another huge mine there. Both mines were abandoned and now two of the biggest reclamation disasters in Canada.

Atac stock was at $10 a decade ago. Now, it is being bought in a friendly takeover at 14 cents by Hecla Mine, the largest silver producer in the US. The only way the synergy would work is because their properties are contiguous to each other. There is no need to get a 65 km access road built that is opposed by the Yukon Govt and the First Nation. CD will face this insurmountable hurdle of investing $120 million for an access road to get the zinc ores out to process the rare metal.  Teck made billions and they are not interested in processing any ores in its Trail smelter. We have seen this movie before with Metalex and the Ontario Govt and Attawaspikat First Nation.

You can't just schmooz you way at the upcoming PDAC.
