Grades below the current open pit The corporate presentation of the grades of gold exposed as one goes from the highest bench to the lower bench of 33 m shows quite a few high grade ore zones below the current pit floor p, as it will be expanded laterally once these new benches are mined and expand walls are pushed back.
Included in these high grade deeper zones is the 5.6 million tons of Inferred Resource averaging 2.6 gms per ton , containing 460,000 ounces.
We know that there are at least 14 mineralized vein structures on trend with the main SJ pit.
The average grade of these is 2. 4 gms per ton , near identical given the limited drilling todate , to the 2,6 grams just below the current pit floor of the SJ pit.
So, the planned drilling in 2023 down to 550 meters is going to be very interesting because it will be appraisal / development drilling rather than exploration drilling.
