Protalix and poof

Protalix and poofI have written for almost 3 years that Protalix might make a good merger partner with Bioasis. Protalix has an interesting manufacturing process (ProCellEx) for biologics but because they will manufature only their own drugs, they need a source of new drug candidates. Bioasis needs manufacturing at discounted prices so that it can get some serious preclinical work done and then move into the clinic. A merger of Protalix and Bioasis could have made a powerhouse for the development of new CNS biologics

Such a merger would also have left both Protalix and Bioasis shareholders in good shape. But it won't happen. I don't think Bioasis management will ever allow a buyout of Bioasis unless xB3 and Bioasis management can end up in a private company's hands.

Public companies and pharmas would want to keep the xB3 platform and would likely never have a place for DrDR. I can see Mei Mei going to the larger company but not DrDR. Shareholders have always been concerned about how much she knew about xB3, how involved she was in Bioasis, what with Carina, and where her interests really lie.

So poof is touting Protalix, Fabry disease and all sorts of stuff he knows absolutely nothing about. At this point, the only thing that could help Bioasis is if Bioasis can make a deal for xB3-004 with the Chiesi/Protalix partnership.

But Chiesi/Protalix can do a deal like that with new owners of xB3, a private venture firm that would give Chiesi/Protalix what they want, DrDR what she wants, LT and The Placees what they want, and best for them all, it would get rid if those pesky Bioasis shareholders once and for all.

Prophetoffactz has no idea what he's talking about. ETFs, European opinions for non-xB3 drugs, etc etc. Mildly interesting, at best, but a loan is needed to buy time for Bioasis shareholders, or, better, a good business deal that can save Bioasis shareholders. Otherwise Bioasis will be sold for almost nothing, the shareholders will have almost nothing and the xB3 will go on to be the big deal we always thought it would be.

I hope I'm wrong.
