RE:Ranger Q4 Earnings Release - March 8

RE:Ranger Q4 Earnings Release - March 8There are different opinions about this deal, personally I am not in favour of this deal because I am not convinced if Ranger Oil was doing well, so why they agreed to a deal with almost no premium? In other words if we believe BTE is doing well would we accept a take over with no premium? Obviously if oil goes up from here SP will gradually go up, but at what magnitude when there are 860 M shares outstanding, moreover it is possible oil goes up, but there is no garantie and always the risk of downside for oil price is a factor to be considered. All comments I read after the deal is about oil going to $100 no one is talking about if oil is going to below $70 how the risk for BTE has become way higher than it was before the deal. In short I am pro acquisition and growth, but at this point of time BTE was not positioned to such acquisition.
