RE:They’re loading up and doing small trades to keep “price lowyep, they keep passing it around, cycles of accumulate and dump, rinse and repeat, everyone gets repeated kicks at the can - maintain a ridiculously low share price like an endless pyramid scheme.
And then digging in the other Lp pocket, the provincial and federal goverments hands - excessive taxing and 'distributon' markups. Mandatory - no direct to retail sell-through. Can you say monopolize. All the while refusing to police the illicit market which was the whole point of it in the first place. Or so they said.
But wait, n worries at all, the federal government has given Lp's seven-more-months to decide what products they're going to sell within the new cannabis tax reform! A year late it is this reform, so really, almost 2 yrs late when all is said and done/september. Talk about a fleece job.
In 2021-2022 alone, gov't cannabis revenue was $1.6 billion:
—$300 million profit for province-owned cannabis authorities
—$200 million in federal excise tax
—$600 million from provincial excise tax & other provincial or territorial revenue
—$500 million from retail sales tax
...One things' for sure - is that the lp's that make it through the gauntlet - will have become battle.hardened.strong - there is no doubt.
Medipharms cash position guarantees they'll make it through, but likely sell us out in the end.
Longs be damned!
..Right before a major contract or major Q, of course.
