Potter Twp.

Potter Twp.The Potter Twp Property is located approximately 50 km northeast of Cochrane, Ontario. The rock types in close proximity to the Property are granitic rocks, plus pegmatites. However, a short distance to the southeast of the Property, there are gneissic rocks that could extend to the northwest towards the Property (Map 2161).
Referring to Maps 82811 and 82822, I don't see any obvious magnetic features that would indicate either pegmatites or 'intrusive' type anomalies within the Property. However, there is one very weak east-west magnetic trend cutting across the northern region of the Property, which also coincides with a weak radioelement response. A ground check is suggested for this area.
With respect to the Ternary Map 82833, a strong radioelement anomaly basically coincides with the Property. It tends to have more potassium in the core, while having more thorium around the perimeter. Interestingly, this phenomena may indicate  potential 'intrusive' types of rocks. There also appears to be a north-south fault zone traversing through the middle of the Property.
Map 2598, the Bouguer Gravity Map, there is a wide and lengthy north-south gravity anomaly running through the Property. However, the lack of gravity readings within the Property makes this geophysical response tentative, and particularly its implications, with respect to the Property.
In reference to OFR 6044, it will be noted on Figure 3, and pages 100,101 that there are 2 till samples, 1520 and 2343, that are located a few hundred metres southwest of the Property. Sample 1520 has 2 grains of chalcopyrite, 15 grains of pyrite and 2 grains of orthopyroxene. Sample 2343 has 10 othopyroxene grains.
'Orthopyroxenes are relatively widespread as a primary mineral in gabbroic and ultramafic rocks where they form with augite, olivine and plagioclase. Orthopyroxene may occur in high grade metamorphic rocks. It is essential in the granitic gneisses called charnockites, and may be found in pyroxene granulites and metamorphosed iron formations'.
Ridges tend to be north-south, with a relief of approximately 10-15 metres. There should be some outcrops.
No historical work has been carried out on this Property.
