For sure. That's why now most paper gold certificates when reading the fine print say 'not for exchange purposes' as in, can not be exchanged for Gold itself.

Which is why any and every investor should be buying physical and not adding to further dilution. Why buy paper Gold if you want the price to go higher, by purchasing physical Gold you're draining the inventory which will send your investment much higher. 

Always important to keep track of the physical ratio to paper, the bigger the ratio the more chance of a large squeeze, which I must confess I keep forgetting to do, whoops.
