Letter From Canadian Federal Government...

Letter From Canadian Federal Government...Thank you for your correspondence of February 7, 2023, addressed to the Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, about Ucore’s Rapid Solvent Extraction Technology for the separation of rare earth elements. I am responding on behalf of Minister Wilkinson. As you may know from Canada’s Critical Minerals Strategy, released December 2022, rare earth elements are being initially prioritized in the Strategy for their distinct potential to spur Canadian economic growth and their necessity as inputs for priority supply chains. Rare earth elements represent a great opportunity to fuel domestic manufacturing and will be one area of initial focus of federal investments. I had the pleasure of meeting with UCore and hearing directly about its project. I was impressed with its plans to deploy its RapidSX technology and I am supportive of its goal of improving upon rare earth element separation technologies by increasing performance and efficiency while lowering capital and operation expenditures. My team will continue to actively follow UCore’s project. Again, thank you for writing and sharing your thoughts on this important matter. Sincerely, Jeff Labont (he/him/il/lui) Assistant Deputy Minister Lands and Minerals Sector Natural Resources Canad
