DSV and silver spot

DSV and silver spotI get that with miners, the sp of the miner is often connected to the spot price of the metal they mine.  This makes sense as they are selling the metal they mine and if the price fluctuates so to does the profit.  But why is this the case for a jr miner?  DSV is years from pulling silver out of the ground so it's odd to me that we fluctuate so much on the trend of spot.  Wouldn't investors be more concerned with long term forecasts of silver price?  I feel the things that should affect sp are the decisions being made on the project, news on its drill results, scope, permitting etc that take us closer to the finish line.  We have a PFS, and a clear path forward, yet we are half the price we were 2 years ago with far less knowledge of what we had and much greater risk to the project....
