the reality?? being used by DRUG DEALERS, GUN RUNNERS and of course CYBER RANSOMWARE groups. lets not forget the 100's of billions that have already been lost wordwide by bitcoin et als implosion from the high $80000's ,partially driven by failures of these CRYPTO CRACK exchanges marketing 100's of these different cryto platforms. WORST PART - losses in the this realm have largely fallen on the RETAIL crowd wordwide -a sucker is indeed born every second.
I agree with holding a bit of precious metals as well. Problem is you go to any of these seminars - its the over 60 crowd in this space. The kids all go after these rediculous crypto crack sites that will even put an APP on their phone and allow them to buy units as low as $10 . Do they understand it ?? NO!! "but everyone's doing it"..
