A critical minerals podcast for the masses Well here we are on a Monday morning already arguing. :-) I don't really know what this week is going to bring either, but I do know that I feel very good about the future prospects of critical elements. Yes, it's not going as fast as we want. Yes, we all thought we'd be retired by now. Yes, yes It wasn't supposed to take this long.
But we have our permits. All of the T's have been crossed. All of the i's have been dotted. We have climbed up the hill and have met the regulatory bodies that have every point along the way and dealt with the issues. It took what seemed like an eternity.
And the reality is all of the new players in Canada who say they can do it faster might be right. But they won't do it a lot faster. They need to have regulatory approval and government intervention to speed it up. Neither of those things go fast. So while it may shave off a year or two, many of them are a decade out.
CRE is already dressed and ready for the party. Do we wish that we had partner names already on the tips of our tongue? Sure. Will we get them soon? Yes I believe we will. Will those partners know the difference between a fully permitted miee and one that is mainly the glint in the eye, some prospector or somewhere ? Oh I think they will.
If you have some time for a podcast and need to feel a little bit more positive about your week, listening this episode of the cost of living on CBC is a very good primer and also a good reality check for those of us who forget, but we are on top of the hill. Looking down at the others struggling their way up. Some of them haven't even tied their boots up yet. And here we are.
Give it a listen. Send it to your friends. Tell them to think about it when they're making their investments in something that might take 10 or 12 years to come to fruition. Ask them if they know but this sparkly new startup that they're talking about in hushed whispers is actually 10 years away from actually turning over any soil if ever?
In this podcast they don't talk about CRE by name but we are in that very very select short list of companies that are actually on the precipice. It felt great to listen to it.
