Nice to see !!!!!!! Thursday on word it has extended by drilling the dimensions of its CV5 pegmatite on its Corvette property in the James Bay district of Quebec. The work has added 550 metres of strike to the pegmatite, which now runs for 3,150 metres and remains open at both ends along strike and at depth.
Given that openness, Patriot is now drilling stepouts westward from CV5 toward the CV13 pegmatite. Meanwhile, Darren Smith, vice-president of exploration, cheers that drilling to the east has pushed the limit of CV5 to within 1,500 metres of the CV4 pegmatite cluster.
Mr. Way, president and CEO, says that there remains "more than 20 kilometres of geologically favourable trend to be explored" and three pegmatite clusters yet to be drilled. The CV5 target remains the priority, however, and the company will keep drilling "to an initial mineral resource estimate and subsequent prefeasibility [study]." And so, Mr. Way concludes with a flourish: "We are off to a fantastic start in 2023 and look very forward to another transformative year for the company."
Last year was certainly transformative for Patriot if one goes by its stock chart. The company began 2022 trading near the 40-cent mark, but it surged to a high of $17.70 about six weeks ago, thanks to the great news from Corvette.
