Add in the push to ban gas stoves and the additional resulting load on wiring for the increased capacity needs you have additional heat generated on aluminum lines, raising the risk of fire.
Then charging EV's. That's quite a lot of aluminum to replace copper and would result in price increases for both metals along with the eventual move back to copper.
We have already seen it happen the last time it was tried in residential wiring, when homes were using oil heat and natural gas, without consideration of EV's.
Can you see the move to Electric only for home heat coming? When little Suzy plugs in those space heaters to the aluminum wired outlet how long will it be until the lines are overheated, causing damage and leading to a fire?
