SCV overview and recent findings The demand from the EV battery sector is anticipated to increase, which will further widen the existing lithium supply gap.
Scotch Creek Ventures (SCV.c SCVFF) controls over 15,000 acres of land across three lithium projects in Nevada. One of these projects, Macallan East lithium, is strategically located just four hours away from Tesla's Nevada Gigafactory and in the same valley as the Silver Peak Project, which is currently the sole producing lithium operation in North America.
Recently, SCV announced the completion of the compilation of geologic and assay data from its second drill hole on the Macallan lithium property. The core hole was drilled to 1115 feet and intersected two thick sections of ash-rich siltstones, claystones, and massive volcanic ash units, all indicating a lake sedimentary origin. Cut core samples returned grades as high as 461 ppm Lithium. These initial findings will help SCV map out subsequent drilling phases for the project.
SCV's ownership of strategically located lithium projects, particularly Macallan East's proximity to the Silver Peak Project, puts the company in a promising position as the demand for lithium increases with the growing popularity of electric vehicles.
