RE:RE:Northland Power's Gemini windfarm to power world's largest..My gut feel is that Gemini is a temporary solution until the new windfarm is built.
The remaining years of tghe PPA with the Netherland's Gov't goes for hydrogen production.
As I read the material, it seems like the operation requires only one windfarm.
If so, don't know what will happen to the Gemini windfarm, but will be used now because the hydrogen facility will be built soon. And then by 2031 or later the new windfarm will become operational.
Now why can't Shell build a facility in BC and be powered by Northland's proposed offshore windfarm.
I question east coast hydrogen development in Canada, when Europe is building their own already and don't have to ship ammonia/hydrogen across the ocean.
Asia requires green hydrogen, preferring to use wndfarms to provide power to consumers and not hydrogen production. BC is the place to start.
First Shell has to decide on Phase Two Canada LNG soon.
