US-based Uranium: UUSA.v Nuclear is becoming widely an accepted form of emissions-free power and the U.S. gov is offering major incentives for domestic uranium producers as Russia has become completely unreliable. One US-based junior uranium company with high potential is Kraken Energy Corp. (Ticker: UUSA.c or UUSAF for US investors).
UUSA.c is having a very active trading day, closing up over 20% with over 4 times its average trading volume.
UUSA controls 3 past-producing projects in the Tier 1 mining district of Nevada: the Garfield Hills, Apex, and Huber Hills Projects. Utilizing modern technology and methods, UUSA believes it can extract even more uranium than what the projects have previously produced.
The Garfield Hills project, situated 12km east of Hawthorne, in Mineral County, Nevada, has shown promising historical drill results. One historic drill hole revealed a mineralization of 0.26% UO over 14m from 24.4 – 38.4 m while another hole 600 ft west suggested high values with a projected mineralized length of 396.2 m. UUSA plans to conduct a Phase 2 drill program at Garfield Hills later this year.
UUSA's Apex Project contains Nevada's largest past-producing uranium mine which historically accounted for 50% of the state's uranium output with an average grade of ~0.25% UO. It produced about 106,000 pounds of UO in the 1950s but the project has not undergone any development since then. UUSA is planning to start a drill program at the Apex Mine in the first half of 2023.
The Huber Hills Project has a historical production record of approximately 10,000 pounds of UO, boasting an average grade of 0.24% UO. Recent channel samples taken from the site returned UO grades of 0.149% and 0.102%, indicating a significant potential for further uranium deposits to be discovered in the area.
