RE:Took awhile but That was quick!Broadview is owned by experienced executives that have bought and sold heavy oil assets and smaller companies the last 20 years. President is John Festival. These guys are no dummies.
They probably picked up Marwayne for very little and sold it for 10 times what they paid or more.
While private, they have an investor info package available. If you read it, you'll notice that they are eary adapters of Saskatchewan Thermal Heavy Oil. Other companies mentioned doing this are Cenovus (Husky), IPC (BlackPearl), and Strathcona (Serafina). I'm betting one of them bought the Marwayne property with the most likely one being Cenovus.
Broadview is moving down trend to the south of the Lloydminster area. They will likely take the money they made on Marwayne and re-deploy it there. They have 3 shovel ready SAGD projects expected to produce 22,000 to 30,000 boepd.
These greenfield projects shouild be an excellent opportunity to use CTI.
The question is, will they use SAGD technology or AXE's CTI technology?
