RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Iimpending Chineses VI B emission rules begin July 1, 2023LOL...Good One!!
First of all I was talking about oil use in the transportation sector NOT oil in its totality. So perhaps you need a reading lesson.
Now...let's talk about brains my friend!!!
Europe, North America and China (and perhaps elsewhere) have banned the sale of new ICE cars starting in 2035. Last time I checked that is 12 years from now. So in about 20 years from now, the youngest ICE car will be about 8 years old which is the avergae holding time for cars. Once anyone owning an ICE wants a new car after that time it will not be an ICE.
Where the ICE ban has been legislated is where most of the car production in the world takes place so they won't be making any ICE cars which means that even if other countries don't actually legislate a ban on the sale of ICEs, they won't be able to get new ones anyway because nobody is going to be making them.
Soooo....instead of insulting my intelligence, I suggest that you wake up to the reality of what is going to happen based on what countries have currently legislated. Frankly, if you don't wake up to this fact, then you will likely retire broke.
As for oil use outisde the transportation sector, sure, there will still be oil needed for a long time, longer than 20 years perhaps, but even there, there will be substitutes for petrochemicals that will be developed to reduce oil use there.
