yeah they can suspend the dividends on the prefs, but my understandings are MOST of them are cumulative pref. So yeah may not collect it on time, but will still collect at some point, unless BPO goes bust. Yet people seems not to care, and just sell sell sell.
Mind you most office REIT are getting plummeted in the last few months as well.
Recent news of office vacancies certainly add to the fire at the moment.
