management

managementIt is easy to criticize, especially in hindsight. The truth is nobody has a crystal ball in working order as far as I know.. One thing we can be sure of is that the CEOs of these mostly gas companies have to be a bit nervous when it comes to their strategic long term plans - like gas going from 7 bucks to 2 bucks in a few months when everybody is figuring the disaster in Ukraine would set the price for gas at much higher prices for longer than a few months. I was happy to see the modest dividend(given the cash flow at the time), it made me think that management had ridden this horse before and was being cautious while others were being euphoric (think of Nutall). It was a real coup when they took over 7 Gen even if they were stuck with some poor hedges - the properties that came with that deal (condensate & liquids)are helping to hold the share price up even in this terrible NG price environment.
