CPR.v makes breakthrough in its DLE tech + DD As the demand for lithium continues to surge with the growing popularity of Electric Vehicles, investors are actively seeking out promising junior companies. Allied Copper Corp. (Tickers: CPR.V or CPRRF for US investors) is poised to capitalize on this trend by changing its name to Volt Lithium on April 20th, a move that is expected to boost its visibility in the lithium market.
Volt Lithium's flagship lithium asset is the Rainbow Lake Property in NW Alberta, known to hold a significant resource of lithium-enriched brine estimated at 78 billion barrels, with lithium grades reaching up to 119 mg/L.
Volt holds the mineral extraction rights for Rainbow Lake, while Cabot Energy, its partner, has control over the petroleum and gas rights. Cabot has already identified the project's lithium reserves through its ongoing operation of petroleum and gas wells. As a result, Volt can leverage Cabot's existing infrastructure and avoid costly exploration work, giving it a strategic advantage over other junior lithium companies of similar value.
Volt has recently unveiled a significant advancement in its proprietary Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology, marking a major breakthrough. This cutting-edge development is anticipated to enhance the efficiency of the company's extraction process at the Rainbow Lake Project, as well as the overall economics of the project once it reaches commercialization.
With this next-generation technology, Volt has achieved up to 93% lithium extraction, while simultaneously reducing the amount of reagent needed to treat oilfield brine. This breakthrough is expected to result in reduced operating costs for the company, making its extraction process more cost-effective and sustainable.
