Nevertheless, after 20+ years this company has not been able to attract a partner let alone a buyout and no one has been able to provide any logical explanation why. In the early days of their developement they weren't able to attract any of the large financial institutions to do any of their financial deals. It was always the likes of Canaccord. Any of the biotechs that ended up being bought always seemed to have the backing of the likes of Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, etc. Any way the story is always the same - results are encouraging but BP don't commit.
