RE:RE:RE:What if...All of your points are valid. I do think though that OPEC controls the market and $50 oil is not something they would allow to happen. Oil got into the mid 60's for a short period and OPEC responded. SPR releases against OPEC who do you think wins this in the long run?

A) We could see $50 oil if he hit a recession. Anybody run the numbers on $50 oil? It doesn't look good. We barely stay afloat.
B) We have been hearing about a supply issue BUT the lat 10 months we steadily declined. Not sure about supply issues if price keeps declining.
C) Bte had a template that most here bought into. I think the Ranger acquisition will definitely benefit BTE in the long run, BUT the oil companies I hold had a "Pay down debt agenda". The acquistion in itself is not the problem. Rather it's the timing and the size. I didn't buy into a company that was exiting a a debt management pogram in about a year, to one that added over $2 billion and a whack of shares.
Bottom line, the verdict is still out how this will impact BTE in the short term BUT it has definitely impacted the sp which is the only thing that matters to me since I am not a salaried employe of BTE.
