RE:RE:RE:VW's $13 billion biggest corporate welfare payout by Canada!As someone who works in automotive (for too long), my feeling on this investment (and the similar Stellantis one close by) is that it will be considered brilliant down the road.  It will open up Ontario to a whole new era of automotive manufacturing/mining centered on electrification, from raw material extraction through to end assembly of battery packs/automobiles.  I understand that the knee jerk reaction is against these types of investments but without them, Canada would be left out of that market, which would be a serious mistake.
