SQM weighs hard choices in Chile amid $3.7B. share wipeout I just found a new reason why "Century Lithium Corp (LCE)" is at the right spot (Nevada USA) at the right time. (I show this reason below with an article)
IMO, if SQM is in this much trouble in Chile then Albemarle, who is also big in Chile should be in trouble too. BTW, Albmarle's stock 4-21-23 @ 9:30am went from $188 to $173 @4pm.
IMO, after our (FS) is out in 2023 I can see Albemarle knocking on our (LCE) door with a good JV offer. Then near the end of 2023 I see Albemarly wanting to buy us out with a very good offer!!
______________
SQM's lithium extraction contract in Chile expires in 2030. Its comany shares are heading for the biggest daily loss on record.
SQM, the fertilizer - turned- lithium giant, runs the planet's biggest and most profitable brine operation in Chille's northern desert.
"Chile wants to nationalize its priceless lithium supply as the EV revolution heats up"
Gabriel Boric, Chile’s president since March 2022, announced plans to nationalize and safeguard the country’s precious supply of lithium on Thursday, framing the new policy proposal as an unmissable opportunity for Chile to place itself in a stronger position as demand heats up for green technologies that require the valuable metal.
“Our challenge is to turn our country into the primary producer of lithium in the world,” he continued,
But I read that Albemarly wanted to be the primaary producer of lithium in the world. IMO, with Chile doing this now should make Albemarly run to places like "Century Lithium Corp (LCE)" to buy us out. This is just the way I see it.
