RE:Race For Critical Minerals in FIJI I found it interesting that Jogmec's JV with AWE was not renewed
just after the US Gov't put zinc on it's critical metals list as the 3 year contract came to an end.
The US has to import 83% of it's zinc for galvenized steel and other uses.

Zinc is needed for the solar/wind energy shift for rechargable storage batteries for micro grids, residential and industrial and these zinc air batteries do not overheat like lithium batteries.
Also, the Institute of Technology in Madras is working on zinc-air rechargable batteries as an alternaive to Lithium-ion that are used in EV's.
The US State Dept is visiting AWE and I was told when I phoned IR that the team for strategic metals was only visiting AWE because they are not interested in the others.
Namosi has copper, gold and molybdenum but no mention of zinc.
The only other company I know of that found some zinc in rock samples was Dome and they were denied their SPL renewal by MRD and are appealing.
Also 80% of zinc mining is done underground which is interesting to do some DD on especially with
our mounds at Koro etc.
Now we know why they rushed off to Nakoro.
